ANNVILLE, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team will enter the 2016 Colonial States Athletic Conference on a four match win streak, as the Cavaliers scored 3-0 wins over Lebanon Valley and Lancaster Bible Colleges today to end the regular season.
The Blue and White closed its regular season at 16-14 overall after topping the LVC Dutchmen (20-9) 25-20, 25-15, 25-16 and the LBC Chargers (15-18) 25-15, 25-19, 25-19.
Sophomore
Emily Shannon led the Cavaliers in their win over Lebanon Valley with a career high 16 kills.
Senior
Kelly Guarino paired 12 kills and 11 digs, while junior
Anne-Marie Jones added 13 kills and three service aces.
Sophomore
Ashley Shannon notched a match high 12 digs, while freshman
Emily Stokarski recorded 41 assists and junior
Kaylee Plisinski four solo blocks.
The Blue and White continued its solid play into the night cap, as
Emily Shannon paired 16 kills with 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.
Jones added 14 kills, while
Ashley Shannon earned team high honors with 17 digs, three more than Guarino. Stokarski notched 37 assists and matched Guarino with three service aces.
The Blue and White will begin its Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament run on Thursday, as it hosts a semifinal round match against the lowest seeded winner from Tuesday's quarterfinal matches. First serve is slated fo r7pm at Nerney Field House.
