RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini field hockey team climbed back to .500 with today's 3-0 victory over Keystone College at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavaliers fourth win in its last five games evened the team's record at 6-6, while it improved to 2-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Despite scoring just three goals, the Blue and White were in firm control throughout the game's 70 minutes, outshooting the Giants 28-2, including 15-2 in shots on goal.
Junior
Sara Johnsen put the Cavaliers on the board in the 15th minute, as she collected a rebound from a shot by senior
Taylor Mack and delivered her third goal of the season.
Cabrini extended its lead in the 24th minute, when junior
Maddy Worley deflected a high pass from Mack. With the assist, Mack notched her 29th career helper, tying
Kerry Anne Farrell for the program lead.
Just two minutes later, junior
Jackie Neary recorded her seventh goal of the campaign with an unassisted tally.
Cabrini did not slow down in the second half, outshooting Keystone 10-1 and recording eight of its 11 penalty corners after the halftime break.
Mack led the Blue and White with seven shots, one more than Worley, while both put four shots on the Keystone cage. Neary added four shots, and freshman
Katie Kucia three.

Noelia Ramirez shared the shutout in the Blue and White net, recording one save each.
Senior Brenna Paulson recorded both shots for Keystone (3-7, 1-2 CSAC), while freshman Megan Novak recorded seven saves in 24 minutes before being replaced by sophomore Emily Hawkins.
The Cavaliers have a few days to rest before returning to action on Saturday, when they visit Cedar Crest (4-6, 1-2 CSAC). Game time is slated for 11am in Allentown, PA.
