LANCASTER, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team suffered a pair of losses today at the Franklin & Marshal College Tri-Match. The Cavaliers suffered 3-0 losses to both Stockton University and the host Diplomats, closing the weekend with a 7-12 overall record.
Junior
Anne-Marie Jones led the Blue and White with 10 kills in the 25-20, 25-16, 25-20 loss to Stockton (15-7). Senior
Kelly Guarino added seven kills, one more than sophomore
Emily Shannon.
Guarino also notched seven digs, while sophomore
Ashley Shannon and freshman
Emily Stokarski add six each. Stokarski also tallied 29 assists in the loss.
The Cavaliers looked to rally in the night cap, but F&M (13-7) proved to be too much, downing Cabrini 25-21, 25-19, 25-10.
Guarino and Jones combined for 15 kills in the match, while
Emily Shannon and junior
Chelsea Jones added four each.
Stokarsi, who recorded 19 assists, and Guarino shared team high honors with 9 digs each, two more than
Ashley Shannon.
The Cavaliers look for their next victory on Tuesday, when they head to Cairn University. Cabrini will face Cedar Crest at 5:30pm, followed by a match against the host Highlanders at 7pm.
