RADNOR,PA – The Cabrini field hockey team will make its ninth consecutive appearance in the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship game after today's 3-1 victory over Marywood University at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
With tonight's victory, the Blue and White improved to 11-7 on the year and will face the winner of tonight's second semifinal in Saturday's championship tilt.
The Cavaliers were in control for most of tonight's action, as it outshot the Pacers 18-3, including 9-1 in the second half.
Junior
Maddy Worley put Cabrini ahead in the 11th minute, as she converted a pass from classmate
Alex Swallow into her 17th goal of the season.
Marywood looked to even the score, firing its only two shot on goal in the first half. The Cavaliers' defense held firm, carrying their 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Blue and White turned up their pressure on both side of the pitch after the half. Cabrini recorded five of its six penalty corners in the second half and made one count in the 52nd minute.

Taylor Mack put the ball in play with a pass to classmate
Kylie McDevitt who fed the ball to junior
Jackie Neary for her ninth goal of the campaign.
Cabrini sealed the victory in the 56th minute on Worley's second goal of the afternoon. The junior redirect a Neary far post shot into the back of the cage.
Swallow and Worley fired five shots each, with a combined eight attempts on goal, while Mack added four shots.
Junior
Taylor Bookman made one save to earn her first save of the season. Fellow junior
Jess Tennett added a defensive save.
Sophomore goaltender Kerri Mountz recorded 10 saves for Marywood (12-7).
