ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team pushed its Colonial States Athletic Conference win streak to 99 games today, as the No. 16 Cavaliers scored a 25-5 win at Rosemont College. With the victory, the Blue and White improved to 10-4 overall and 5-0 in league play.
Cabrini dominated the run of play from the opening whistle, a senior
Chris Schneekloth won the opening faceoff before hitting classmate
Ethan Heisman for the first of his six goals just eight seconds into the action.
The Cavaliers built an astounding 73-12 advantage in shots on the day, including 47-5 in the first half. A total of 44 of those shot attempts were on target. Heisman and freshman Mat LoParo led the way with seven shots each, while junior
Ryan Hannan and sophomore
James Magnani added six each.
Twelve Cavaliers accounted for the 25 goals, with Heisman notching a career day. The senior totaled a career best 10 points and matched a career high with six goals. LoParo recorded his fourth game this season with seven points, as the rookie paired four goals and three assists.
Freshman
Jordan Krug also posted a hat trick with three goals, while Magnani paired two goals and two helpers. Freshman
Billy Morgan added a career best three points on two goals and an assist, matching fellow rookie
Nicholas Waligurski's three points on a goal and two assists.
Sophomore
Nile Luma scored twice for his first career multi-goal outing, while freshman
Sean Wagner added a pair of assists.
The Blue and White's offensive attack began with its control of the faceoff spot, where it claimed 23 of the game's 33 faceoffs. Schneekloth led the way with 11 wins in his 12 changes to go with a career high 10 ground balls, a goal and an assist. Sophomore
Joe Simpson went 5-7 at the spot with seven ground balls.
In total, the Cavaliers scooped 65 ground balls, with 28 players securing at least one loose ball. Heisman and sophomore
Riley Michaels accounted for four each, while four Cavaliers, including Krug, Waligurski and seniors
Austin Edelman and
Matt Ward scooped three each.
Michaels also joined senior
Brian Kittredge and freshman
Kevin Delaney with two caused turnovers each.
A trio of Cavaliers saw action in the Blue and White cage, with sophomore
Tyler Morrell earning the victory. Freshman

Justin Bullivant split the second half, with the trio combining for one save on the day.
Ralph Ibezim and Stephen Licata scored two goals each for Rosemont (3-11, 1-4 CSAC), while Anthony Bottoms recorded three assists. Cassius Christie recorded 19 saves for the Ravens.
The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Saturday, as it celebrates the careers of its 12 seniors with a visit from Centenary College (8-4, 4-1 CSAC). The Blue and White will honor the achievements of the Class of 2016 prior to the 3 p.m. faceoff.
