RADNOR, Pa. - The Cabrini softball team concludes its home schedule today, when it welcomes Notre Dame of Maryland University to Cabrini Field for a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
Today's games will also mark the final home appearance for the Blue and White's lone senior,
Kaitlyn Cooper. In her four years, Cooper has led the Cavaliers to back to back appearances in the CSAC championship game, while earning All-CSAC recognition three times and an NFCA All-East Region Third Team honor in 2015.
The senior has started 144 of her 157 career games and owns a career batting average of .366 with 171 hits, including 16 home runs, and 114 RBI.
The last time the Cavaliers and Gators met was on April 6, 2015. The Blue and White scored a pair of wins, topping the Gators 16-0 and 14-1.
Cabrini jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, scored two more runs in the third inning, one run in the fourth and fifth innings and added nine more in the seventh to take game one. Junior
Lindsay Savar led the Cavaliers with four RBI, as the sophomore hit a grand slam home run in the seventh.
The Cavaliers out hit the Gators 18-3 in game two, as sophomore
Kaitlyn Hohman earned the win in the pitcher's circle.
The Gators opened the game, scoring a run in the first inning but Cabrini answered with three runs in the bottom half.
The Blue and White scored three runs in the first inning, four runs in the third inning, five runs in the fourth inning and closed the game with a pair of runs in the fifth inning.
Sophomore pitcher
Kaitlyn Hohman picked up the win in the circle, after holding the Gators to just one earned run, which came in the first inning.
The Gators are 7-15 overall and 3-11 in the CSAC in 2016, after falling to Rosemont in a pair of games on Tuesday 12-4 and 9-1.
Freshman King Madison is averaging .404 on the year and leads the Gators with 26 RBI, while senior Tawny Cevora ranks third in the CSAC with a .500 batting average, 32 hits, 26 runs scored and three home runs. The senior has also collected 15 RBI and nine doubles on the year.
King has also been the Gators' best pitcher, with a 4-7 record and a 4.90 ERA. In 64.1 innings pitched, King has 35 strike outs, 107 hits against and has allowed 45 earned runs and 64 total runs.
Cevora is 3-8 in the pitcher's circle this season. The senior has an ERA of 11.55 but leads with a team high 51 strike outs.
The Cavaliers currently sit in fourth place in the CSAC, as the Blue and White is 17-14 overall and 13-3 in the CSAC.
Cabrini split games with Widener on Wednesday, topping the Pride 4-3 in walk-off fashion in game one, before dropping game two 9-8.
Cooper is averaging .366 from the plate this season and leads Cabrini with 27 RBI, good for ninth in the league, while the seniors three homers ties freshman

Alpaugh ranks fifth in the CSAC with 40 hits and and leads the Cavaliers with seven doubles, as the rookie holds an impressive batting average of .408. Alpaugh has also tallied 23 RBI and 17 runs scored in 31 starts this season.
Sophomore
Christine Ferraro has been dangerous for opposing teams when reaching the base paths, as the sophomore leads the Blue and White with 27 runs scored and leads the conference with 18 stolen bases.
