GETTYSBURG, PA – The Cabrini field hockey team could not carry the momentum from Thursday's big victory into today's game, as the Cavaliers suffered an 8-1 loss at Gettysburg College.
The loss dropped the Blue and White to 2-3 overall, while the Bullets improved to 2-1.
Cabrini fell behind in the early minutes, as Gettysburg opened the scoring in the seventh minute. The Bullets added two goals in the 22nd and 25th minutes to carry a 3-0 lead into the halftime beak.
Gettysburg took control of the action in the second half, outshooting the Cavaliers 21-10 and forcing seven penalty corners to just one for Cabrini.

Taylor Bookman posted a career high 13 saves in the loss, while classmate
Jackie Neary recorded five shots, including four on target.
Samantha Wright and Hannah Fitzgerald scored two goals each for Gettysburg, while goaltender Haley Mowery notched 12 saves.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Rowan University (2-2). The opening whistle is scheduled for 7pm in Glassboro, NJ.
