ROSEMONT, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its current win streak to five matches tonight, a it scored a 3-0 victory at Rosemont College.
With the 25-13, 25-12, 25-13 win, the Cavaliers improved to 3-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action and extended their conference win streak to 40 matches.
Junior
Anne-Marie Jones led the Blue and White with 13 kills, matching a season high. Senior
Kelly Guarino paired seven digs, eight digs and six service aces.
Sophomore
Ashley Shannon recorded a match high 12 digs and matched Guarino with six service aces. Freshman
Emily Stokarski added four service aces to her 27 assists.
The Cavaliers recorded their fourth highest hitting percentage of the season, .227, while their 19 service aces were bested by only last week's 24 against Centenary.
Cabrini will return to action on Saturday, as it heads to Haverford College for a tri-match. The Cavaliers will face Gettysburg College (8-4, 2-0 Centennial) at 2pm before meeting the host Fords (6-8, 0-3 Centennial) at 4pm.
