Coatesville, PA - The Cabrini cross country teams took part in the annual CSAC championships this afternoon at Cheslen Preserve in Coatesville, PA.
Both the men and the women turned in their best performances of the year as a unit as the men finished fourth out of nine teams, while the women claimed an eighth place finish out of ten teams.Â
The junior duo of
Andrew Sennett and
Mackenzie Patterson continued to pace their respective teams as Sennett garnered second team All-CSAC honors with an 11th place finish and a time of 32:03.7.Â
Patterson, meanwhile claimed a 26th place finish, just missing All-CSAC honors herself, as she completed the 6K course in 30:00.2.Â
Freshmen
Jacob Montenegro,
Chris Giacobbe and
Eugene Chong all turned in solid performances for the Blue and White as they claimed 16th, 30th and 40th place finishes, respectively. Sophomore's
Luis Reyes and
Tyree Holmes, along with senior
Kevin Blake rounded out the finishers for the Cavaliers. Reyes and Holmes turned in times of 38:47.6 and 40:06.8, respectively good enough for a 37th and 42nd place finish. Blake's time of 41:10.9 earned him a 43rd place finish.Â
On the women's side, the aforementioned Patterson led the way, but freshmen
Emma Rodner-Tims,
Shaiann Lyde and
Kass Kelly ran to 31st, 50th and 56th place finishes. Junior
Jordan Horsley picked up a 52nd place finish with a time of 36:42.5. The group effort helped propel them to a team finish of 8th out of 10 teams.Â
Today also marked the final race for senior
Kevin Blake. Blake helped lead the men's team during his four years, where they took home a fourth place finish twice in the CSAC Championships. The Medford, NJ native averaged a 44th place finish in the CSAC Championships over his four seasons.Â
