Last Meeting: Cabrini scored 3-1 win in CSAC Tournament Semifinal (5/8/16, Aston, PA)
The Cavaliers won all three meetings against the Pacers in 2016, including a 3-1 win in the CSA Tournament, a win that placed the Blue and White in its third consecutive conference title game.
Marywood struck first, with a run in the top of the seventh, but junior
Jess Giordano closed the door on the Pacers, scattering just six hits over seven innings of work with five strikeouts.
The Cavaliers answered in the bottom of the frame, as senior
Lindsay Savar's double down the right field line scored junior
Chrissy Ferraro and sophomore Darien Caputo. Ferraro added another run in the third, scoring on
Kaitlyn Cooper's triple.
Sophomore Hannah Docalovich accounted for two of the Pacers; base knocks, while classmate Kirstie Alvarez allowed three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts in the pitcher's circle.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Split doubleheader against TCNJ (3/29/17, Radnor, PA)
The Blue and White split a pair of games against TCNJ, rallying for an 9-6 victory before suffering an 8-2 loss in the nightcap.
After being held to just one hit through three innings, TCNJ figured out junior
Jess Giordano, plating five runs in the fourth. Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth, the Cavaliers rallied.
Savar opened the inning with a solo home run before Cabrini loaded the bases with two outs. Giordano helped her own cause, recording her second homer of the game, a grand slam over the right field wall to put the Cavaliers ahead 9-5.
The junior went 3-4 with two homers and six RBI in the batter's box and earned the win in the pitcher's circle, recording four strike outs in the complete game victory.
The Blue and White could not carry its momentum into the second game, as TCNJ scored six runs in the first two innings. Cabrini matched the Lions' nine hits in the game, but could not string enough hits together to match TCNJ's offensive production.
Senior
Amber Dietrich and junior
Alexandria Ramos recorded two base knocks for Cabrini, including Dietrich's first home run of the season. Junior
Jenna Rodriguez suffered the loss, while classmate
Emily Smull scattered three hits over five innings of relief.

The Pacers opened CSAC play with a pair of shortened wins at Rosemont, topping the Ravens 12-1 and 13-1.
Junior Alexa Scala recorded three base hits, including a pair of doubles, and five RBI to lead Marywood in the opener. Freshman Kaitlyn Epler and junior Heather Schultz also tallied three hits in the win. Alvarez secured the victory in the circle after holding the Ravens hitless through four plus innings.
Marywood did not slow down in the nightcap, as Epler recorded two triples, wo runs scored and three RBI in her 3-4 afternoon. Freshman Sarah Witte added two hits and two runs, while sophomore Katie O'Meara knocked in a pair of runs.
Sophomore hurler Katie Siano went the distance in the pitcher's circle, allowing one earned run against six strikeouts.
