MADISON, NJ – The Cabrini field hockey team suffered its second loss on the young season, as the Cavaliers lost to No. 6 William Smith 2-0 at the Drew University Fall Festival.
The Herons built an early lead, scoring in the game's second minute. Despite being outshot 14-3 and not earning a penalty corner in the first half, the Blue and White held its own, as a stingy defense kept Cabrini at a one goal deficit at the half.
William Smith doubled its lead early in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 37th minute.
The Cavaliers tried to make a comeback, recording five second half penalty corners to no avail.

The Blue and White will return to action on Wednesday, as it visits Haverford College. The opening whistle is slated for 5pm.
