RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini team extended its conference win streak then saw its overall win streak come to an end today at Nerney Field House.
The Cavaliers moved to 14-7 on the season as they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Wesley before falling to Susquehanna 3-0. The victory over the Wolverines extended the club's conference win streak to 61 match, while its loss to the River Hawks snapped the team's string of five consecutive wins.
The Cavaliers hits a season-high .324, as they rolled to a 25-11, 25-18, 25-20 win over Wesley.
Sophomore
Steph Judkins notched her 10th double-double of the season, pairing 19 kills and 11 digs. Junior Katrina Shelley added 12 kills to the Blue and White attack.
Senior
Emily Shannon matched Judkins with a double-double, pairing 11 assists and 10 digs, while freshman
Amelia Ballard recorded 12 helpers and six digs.
Senior
Ashley Shannon and freshman Gina Cuter combined for 21 digs, while freshman Hanna Dalton paired three block assists and two service aces. The Shannon sisters also combined for seven service aces.
Sophomore Regan Healey paired seven kills and seven digs for Wesley, while classmate Caelli Clifford added 14 digs. Senior Teaghen Vogelsang directed the attack with 11 assists.
While its offense clicked in the opener, Cabrini never found an offensive rhythm in the nightcap, as its 28 kills and .102 hitting percentage ranked among its lowest outputs of the season.
Shelly accounted for 10 of those 28 kills in the Cavaliers' 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 loss to Susquehanna.
Emily Shannon and Ballard combined for 24 assists and recorded seven digs each.
Ashley Shannon led Cabrini with 11 digs, one more than Judkins. Dalton totaled six block in teh loss.
Freshman Brooke Lacesa led Susquehanna (14-7) with 12 kills, while junior Lindsey Pugh paired 29 assists, five kills and seven digs.
In Saturday's other action inside Nerney Field House, Susquehanna rolled to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-18) victory over Wesley.
Junior Lyons led the River Hawks with 15 kills on just 26 swings, while sophomore Lizzie Herestofa collected 19 digs. Pugh contributed 20 assists with sophomore Gabby David adding 11.
Lightfoot paced the Wolverines (10-13) with six kills, while Clifford recorded 17 digs.
Cabrini will return to action on Tuesday night, when they welcome Neumann University (10-11, 2-0 Atlantic East) to Nerney Field House., First serve is scheduled for 7pm.
