Cavaliers to End 12 Day Break Tonight with Visit from York

Current assistant coach AJ Williams '13 hit the game's first jumper and the Cavaliers never looked back, as they rolled to their 34th consecutive home victory. Cabrini recorded 10 steals and just 13 turnovers, as it held the Spartans to .355 shooting.

Jeremy Knowles '13 led the Blue and White with 21 points off the bench, including five three pointers, wheel Cory Lemons '12 and Goran Dulac '13 narrowly missed double-doubles, with 19 points, eight assists and 17 points, eight rebounds, respectively.

Mo Oursler '12 matched Knowles with five triples en route to a team high 19 points or York, while Paul Kouvaris '12 and Julian Watson '13 combined for 28 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

The Cavaliers trailed 26-4 just over six minutes after the opening whistle and by as many as 25 points in a first half that saw Wilson shoot .625, including 9-14 from three point range.

Despite a season high in points, field goals made (35), three pointers made (13) and a season low 13 turnovers, the Blue and White could not overcome a Phoenix team that shot nearly .600 from the field.

Senior Anthony Wright-Downing led a balanced Cabrini offense that featured four double figure scorers. Then senior paired 23 points and a game high 11 rebounds. Classmate Alsmith Saintilus added a season best 19 points, while sophomore DJ Smith scores 18 points, with each draining five three pointers.

York Last Time Out: #24 Swarthmore 93, York 68 (12/12/2018, Swarthmore, PA)
The Spartans fell behind early, as Swarthmore shot .563 from the floor and built a 27-9 advantage in rebounds in a first half that ended with York trailing 46-29. The Garnet maintained its lead after the break as it continued to dominate the glass 36-14.

Despite committing just 11 turnovers, the Spartans could not overcome .368 shooting and a season-high -40 rebound margin, falling to their second consecutive defeat.  

Junior Jared Wagner led the Spartans with 20 points, four assists and four blocked shots, while senior Jason Bady added 15 points, six boards, four assists, three blocked shots and a pair of steals.
