KANSAS CITY, MO – Senior men's basketball student-athlete
Tyheim Monroe will have one more opportunity to wear the Blue and White, as the senior has been selected to play in the 2018 Reese's Division III College All-Star Game.
The game, organized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), will be played on Saturday at 3:30pm at the Salem Civic Center as part of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball game in Salem, VA.
The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III, two seniors selected by online voting on D3hoops.com and two senior at-large selections.
Monroe, who was recently named NABC Atlantic District Player of the Year, received his second consecutive CSAC Player of the Year accolade after a regular season that saw him average a league leading 21.8 points and 14.7 rebounds.
The senior led the nation with 427 total rebounds, 25 double-doubles, two triple-doubles and 10.086 defensive rebounds per game. He also ranked among the nation's top 12 in rebounds per game (#2), total field goals made (#4-251), total minutes (#4-1,042), total field goal attempts (#10-493) and offensive rebounds per game (#12-3.86).
