Kostack tallied a man-up goal with 6:37 left in the first, but a Battling Bishops' goal gave OWU a 3-2 lead after 15 minutes.
Brooks evened the score at three in the opening minute of the second, but OWU's Luke Leyden recorded the third of his four goals on the day to put the Battling Bishops ahead. The Cavaliers then took over the period.
Over the final 10:28 of the half, Cabrini outscored OWU 4-0 to take a 7-4 lead. Krug netted both of his goals in a four-minute span, while senior

Just as it looked like the Cavaliers would carry a comfortable lead and the game's momentum into the halftime break, the Battling Bishops cut into the lead with 12 seconds on the clock, pulling within 7-5 at the half.
Both teams tightened the defense in a second half that saw just five total goals.
Klein's unassisted tally pushed the Blue and White lead back to three goals three minutes into the second half, before OWU pulled back within two goals on a man-up goal late in the frame.
Leading 8-6 entering the fourth quarter, the Cavaliers failed to score on a two-minute man-up early in the fourth, but the Battling Bishops took advantage of a Blue and White scramble as the penalty concluded to pull within 8-7 with 11:31 to play.
No stranger to tight games this season, the Cavaliers did not fret, as LoParo notched the eventual game-winning goal one minute later. OWU climbed back to a 9-8 deficit with seven minutes to play, but could not put any of its final five shots on target.
Leyden finished the day with four goals for OWU, joining four other goal scorers. Fellow senior Justin Smith went 5-9 at the faceoff spot with five ground balls. Four Battling Bishops, including Leyden, scooped four ground balls each. Among the group was senior goaltender Ben Ringer, who also tallied 13 saves in the loss.
