The Cavaliers recorded a combined 25 hits as they cruised to a pair of shutout wins at Cairn. Senior
Jess Giordano and
Alexandria Ramos joined junior
Marissa Alpaugh to go a perfect 10-10 at the plate with seven RBI in the opener. Six Cavaliers recorded multiple hits in the win, while 10 crossed the plate.
Sophomore Haley Tinney accounted for three of the highlanders five base hits in game one.
The Blue and White needed just six hits in the nightcap, but took advantage of six Cairn errors and 11 walks in the 10-0 win. Cabrini plated two runs in the top of the first and that was all senior
Emily Smull needed, as the hurler allowed just two singles with three strikeouts to earn the complete game shutout.

The Cavaliers ran their current win streak to eight games with a pair of wins at Marywood. A two RBI double by Alpaugh and a two-run homer by sophomore
Alexandra Schell put the Cavaliers up 4-0 in the first and the team never looked back in the opener.
Giordano made the early lead last, as the senior pitcher surrenders two earned runs on eight hits with a pair of strikeouts. Â
Trailing 2-1 entering the fifth, Cabrini plated four runs in the fifth and seventh innings to complete the CSAC sweep. Six Cavaliers notched two hits in the win, with Ramos and Schell driving in two runs each.
Freshman
Casey Scheuren earned the win in the pitcher's circle after allowing just two earned runs over seven innings.
Cairn Last Time Out; Lancaster Bible 10, Cairn 2; Cain 3, Lancaster Bible 2 (4/10/2018, Langhorne, PA)
Tied 1-1 after two complete innings, the Highlanders saw LBC plate eight runs over the next two innings to pull away. Freshman McKenna Schindele went 3-4 and scored twice, while Tinney drove in both runs.
Freshman Krista Earl suffered the loss despite recording eight strikeouts and allowing just four earned runs.
Cairn rallied in the nightcap, plating three runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth to erase a 2-0 deficit. Earl shut the door on LBC once her club had the lead, allowing just two hits over the final three innings.
Sophomore Meagan Maratita accounted for two of the team's five hits and drove in a run, while Earl struck out six to earn her 10th win of the season.
