This group has led the Cavaliers to 90 victories and three trips to the second day of the CSAC Tournament. They have combined to hit .335 over their collective careers with 731 hits, 422 runs scored, 41 home runs and 382 RBI.
Last Meeting: Cabrini 10, Cedar Crest 5 (5/3/2017, Radnor, PA)
After splitting their regular season double dip, the Cavaliers earned the victory in the opening round of the CSAC Tournament. Cabrini took an early lead, scoring five runs in the first and second innings. Cedar Crest battled back to even the score in the top of the sixth, before the Blue and white rallied for five more in the bottom of the frame.
Griodano went 2-4 with two RBI in the batter's box and tossed an inning of relief in the pitcher's circle. Seven Cavaliers recorded at least one hit on the day, while eight crossed the plate at least once with Ferraro's two runs scored leading the club.
Junior Aimee Sarboukh went 3-4 for the Falcons, while senior Kaylee Martinez drove in three of the team's five runs with a three-run blast in the fifth inning. Sophomore Kendra Pekurny suffered the loss, despite allowing just one earned run in four innings of relief.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 8, Immaculata 7; Immaculata 11, Cabrini 9 (9 innings) (4/21/2018, Radnor, PA)
The Cavaliers and Mighty Macs split a pair of exciting games on Saturday, as the teams celebrated former Cabrini head coach Mitch Kline and his wife Sandee at the teams' annual Cancer Awareness Day.
Trailing 7-1 midway through the sixth inning, Giordano cut the deficit in half with a three run homer, before Alpaugh's walk-off double to center field capped a four-run rally in the seventh to seal the victory. Giordano went 2-3 at the dish with four RBI and earned a complete game victory in the circle with five punch outs. Â
The Cavaliers fell into a 6-0 hole in the night cap a well, slowly marching back, as Alpaugh's three-run blast evened the score at 8-8 after six innings. The Mighty Macs added a run in the seventh, but freshman
Amber Seamen's first career homer tied the game with two outs in the seventh. Immaculata scored a pair of runs in the ninth, but the Blue and White could record another comeback.
Alpaugh drove in four runs with her two base knocks, while freshman
Aysiah Cintron paired three hits and three runs scored. Smull suffered the loss, allowing just one earned run over five innings of relief.
Cedar Crest Last Time Out: Cedar Crest 5, Rosemont 1; Cedar Crest 8, Rosemont 3 (4/21/2018, Rosemont, PA)
Senior Molly Schnaubelt and sophomore Dallas Horning drove in four runs over the first two innings, while Pekurny kept the Ravens off balance, as the Falcons scored a 5-1 win in the opener.
Schnaubelt went 2-3 with two RBI, while Pekurny scattered six hits with four strike outs in the complete game.
In the nightcap, Cedar Crest rallied from a 3-2 deficit after three innings to plate two in the fifth and four in the sixth in the 8-3 win.
Senior Jackie Gallagher's three hits were one more than classmate Kaylee Martinez, juniors Sarboukh and sophomore Courtney Constable, who also drove in two runs. Sophomore Breanna Young scattered five hits with four punch outs to earn her ninth win of the season.
