ROSEMONT, PA – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team ran its NCAA record conference win streak to 111 games today, as it cruised to a 23-4 victory at Rosemont College.
With today's win, the No. 5 Cavaliers improve to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Nine Cavaliers marked the scoring column in today's win, led by freshman
Kyle Tucker, who notched a season-best seven points on five goals and two assists. Sophomore
Matt LoParo added six points, pairing two goals and four assists.
Junior
Timmy Brooks chipped in with four goals, one more than sophomore
Ty Kostack. Junior
Jordan Krug paired two goals and two assists, and was joined by junior
Bill Morgan, sophomore
Ty Moschella and freshman
Griffin Shira with two goals each.
The Blue and White dominated the faceoff spot, winning 26 of the day's 31 faceoffs. Senior
Riley Michaels went 16-18 at the X, scooping 10 ground balls, while freshman
Brian Hood went 5-7 with four ground balls.
The Cavaliers outshot the Ravens 67-10 on the day and committed just four turnovers. Cabrini also did not record a clear attempt in today's game.
Brandon Crausse scored two goals for Rosemont (0-9, 0-3 CSAC), while Josh Chiapetta scooped four ground balls. Mark Porter suffered the loss despite recording 20 saves.
The Cavaliers will step out of conference play on Saturday, as the Blue and White will visit No. 11 Salisbury University (8-3). Game time is set for 1pm in Salisbury, MD.
