CENTER VALLEY, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team split a pair of matches today at the DeSales University Tournament.
The Blue and White moved to 10-10 overall after scoring a 3-0 win over SUNY Canton and falling to the host Bulldogs by the same score.
Cabrini hit a season-high .376, as it cruised to a 25-23, 25-14, 25-14 win in the opener.
Senior
Katrina Shelly led the Cavaliers with 15 kills and 11 digs, while sophomore
Amelia Ballard handed out 35 assists to go with three service aces and seven digs.
Junior
Steph Judkins chipped in with 12 kills, nine digs and four aces. Sophomore
Hannah Dalton added eight kills and five of Cabrini's 12 block assists.
The Cavaliers could not carry their momentum into the night cap, suffering a 25-22, 25-18, 25-14 loss to the tournament host.
Shelly fell just shy of tying a career high with 18 digs to go with 11 kills. Ballard matched Shelly's double-double, recording 26 kills and 12 digs.
Dalton added eight kills, one more than Judkins, who also scored 11 digs.
The Cavaliers will return to Atlantic East Conference play on Wednesday, when they pay a visit to Gwynedd Mercy (10-9, 1-1 Atlantic East). First serve is slated for 7pm.
