GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its conference win streak to 67 matches tonight, as the Cavaliers cruised to a 3-0 victory at Gwynedd Mercy.
With the win, the Blue and White improved to 11-10 overall and 2-0 in the Atlantic East Conference, while the Griffins fell to 1-2 in the league and 10-10 overall.
Sophomore
Amelia Ballard paced Cabrini to the 25-15, 25-12, 25-19 win with 32 assists and 10 digs.
Junior
Steph Judkins added 11 kills and six digs, while senior
Katrina Shelly added eight kills and seven digs.
Sophomore
Hannah Dalton anchored the Blue and White defense with a career best six solo blocks. Classmate
Gina Custer added a match-high 19 digs.
Freshman
Victoria Camacho chipped in with a career best six total blocks, including a pair of solo stops. Sophomore
Jordan Shemonski added five kills and six digs in the win.
Layne Morgan led the Griffins with six kills, while Kerry McGlin and Cait Saalfrank posted 14 digs each.
The Cavaliers will return to Nerney Field House on Oct. 23, as they celebrate Senior Night with a visit from Marywood University (9-14, 1-1 Atlantic East). First serve is slated for 7pm.
