HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – The Cavaliers netted 13 second half goals, as they blew open a tight game to score an 18-7 win at Hampden-Sydney College on Tuesday.
With the win, the No. 7 Blue and White improved to 3-0, while the Tigers fell to 3-2 overall.

Jakob Klein led the Cabrini attack, matching a career high with nine points on three goals and six assists. Senior
Jordan Krug added four goals and a helper to go with four ground balls and a caused turnover.

Jake Huey went 18-25 at the faceoff spot with a game-high 11 ground balls.
Hampden-Sydney jumped on the board first, but its lead was short lived as Waligusrki found Klein less than a minute later to even the score. The duo struck again at the 8:08 mark with Waligurski giving the Cavaliers a lead they would not relinquish.
Goals by senior
Timmy Brooks and Tucker pushed the Blue and White lead to 4-1 after the first quarter, before another Tucker goal extended the lead to 5-1 midway through the second quarter.
The Tigers battled back, scoring two goals late in the second to pull within 5-3 at the half.
The Cavaliers put the game away in the third, outscoring Hampden-Sydney 8-2 in the 15 minute period.
Krug and Kostack started the run with goals early in the period. A Tigers' goal briefly interrupted the Cabrini scoring run, before Krug and Klein combined for four goals in less than two minutes. Goals by Tuck and Kostack closed the frame with the Blue and White holding a comfortable 13-5 lead.
Following a Hampden-Sydney goal in the opening minutes of the fourth, the Cabrini offensive run continued. Gerzabek and Krug returned to the scoring column midway through the quarter before a pair of freshmen,
Konner Caplin and
River Harper, recorded their first career goals. Sophomore
Griffin Shira added his first goal of the season before a late Hampden-Sydney goal closed the scoring.
The Cavaliers outshot the Tigers 51-26 and held the home team to less than eight shots in each of the four quarters.
Jared Medwar led Hampden-Sydney with three goals, while Nick Arcusi tallied 17 saves in the loss.
Cabrini will face the final of its three consecutive road tests on Saturday, when it visits No. 9 Dickinson College (2-0). The opening faceoff is slated for 1pm in Carlisle, PA.
