GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team rallied from back to back losses in a big way today, as the No. 6 Cavaliers opened Atlantic East Conference play with a convincing 20-2 victory at Gwynedd Mercy.
The win extended Cabrini's NCAA record conference win streak to 116 games, as the team moved to 8-2 on the season.
Senior
Jordan Krug led eight Cabrini goal scorers, as the senior posted eight points on five goals and three assists and a pair of caused turnovers. Classmate
Bill Morgan matched a career high with four goals, while junior
Mike Gerzabek and sophomore
Griffin Shira added three goals each.
Sophomore
Luke McCallion was solid at the faceoff spot, winning eight of his 11 chances and scooping seven ground balls. Senior
Sean Wagner added three caused turnovers to his first goal of the season.

Riley White secured the victory with five saves in 45 minutes of action before being relieved by sophomore
Leonardo Godefroy and freshman
Chris Brady.
Krug got the Cavaliers off to a great start, as the senior paired two goals and two helpers as Cabrini built a 5-0 cushion after the first quarter.
The Griffins scored the first goal of the second quarter, but the Blue and White responded with 12 unanswered goals over the next 32 plus minutes of game action spanning the second, third and fourth quarters.
While the offense was clicking on all cylinders, the Cabrini defense stifled the Griffins attack. Cabrini held Gwynedd Mercy to just 18 shots on the day, holding the home team to no more than five shots in any of the four quarters.
The Cavaliers also held the Griffins to just 10-18 in clear attempts and 0-5 in extra man opportunities.
Jordan Dzierzgowski and Derek Alcavage scored for Gwnynedd Mercy (5-4, 0-1 Atlantic East), while goaltender Aubron Swartley recorded eight saves.
The Cavaliers will face its second consecutive conference road test on Wednesday, as Cabrini travels to Scranton, PA to face Marywood University (4-5, 1-0 Atlantic East). Game time is scheduled for 4pm.
