No. 7 Men's Lacrosse Cruises to 11-2 Win at Marywood

SCRANTON, PA – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team ran its conference win streak to 117 games today, as the No. 7 Cavaliers scored n 11-2 victory at Marywood University.

With the win, the Blue and White improved to 9-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Atlantic East Conference.

Cabrini jumped ahead early, as sophomore Evan Trizonis converted a pass from junior Jakob Klein into the game's first goal. The Cavaliers never allowed the Pacers to find their footing, as goals by seniors Bill Morgan and Jordan Krug extended the lead to 4-0 after 15 minutes of play.

Senior Nicholas Waligurski added to the lead midway through the second quarter, before Marywood junior Zach Vaughan put the home team on the board with 3:23 left in the half.

The Blue and White seniors controlled the score board in the third, as Morgan and Krug scored all three goals, with Waligurski chipping in with two assists.

Cabrini showed no let-up in the fourth, as Klein, Morgan and junior Ty Moschella marked the scoring column before the Vaughan scored the final goal of the day.  

Morgan paced the Blue and white attack with a career high five goals, while Klein and Waligurski posted a goal and two assists each. Krug added a pair of goals.

The Cavaliers went 12-17 at the faceoff spot, with sophomore Luke McCallion winning nine of his 10 chances and scooping four ground balls.  

Senior goaltender Riley White recorded 13 save sin the victory, while juniors Tommy DeLuca and Robert Cressman caused three turnovers each.

Senior Luke Shedler notched both assists for the Pacers (4-6, 1-1 Atlantic East), while sophomore goaltender Matt Leen posted 21 saves. Seniors Luke McFadden and Seth D'ver combined for five caused turnovers and nine ground balls.

The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Friday, as they play host to Neumann University (5-4, 1-0 Atlantic East). Game time is set for 1pm.
