Last Meeting: Cabrini 7, Keystone 4; Cabrini 11, Keystone 6 (4/5/2018, LaPLume, PA)
Jess Giordano's fourth inning double scored two runs to put the Cavaliers ahead 4-0, but a two run blast in the bottom of the frame by junior Shannon Lloyd cut Cabrini's lead in half. The Blue and White added a trio of insurance runs in the seventh, as
Victoria Hall and sophomore
Aysiah Cintron combined for three RBI.
Cintron went 2-3 with a pair of RBI, while junior
Alexandra Schell crossed the plate twice. Lloyd and senior Alyssa Hughes combined for four of Keystone's five hits in the loss.
Cabrini's offensive efficiency continued into the nightcap, as the Cavaliers scored 11 runs on 15 singles and seven walks. The Blue and White plated four runs in the first, three in the third ad two in both the fifth and sixth frames.
Sophomore
Casey Scheuren earned the victory after allowing six earned runs on 11 hits. Senior
Darian Caputo and Giordano matched season-highs with three hits each, while six Cavaliers drove in at least one run.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Neumann 3, Cabrini 0; Neumann 7, Cabrini 6 (8 innings) (3/30/2019, Aston, PA)
The Cavaliers never found their rhythm in their Atlantic East Conference opener, as sophomore
Amber Seamen's fourth inning single marked the Blue and White's only base hit in the 3-0 loss.
Trailing 4-0 in the sixth, Cabrini's offense finally woke-up. The Cavaliers scored two in the top of the sixth and added three in the seventh to send the game into extra innings.
The Cavaliers struck first in the top half of the frame, as senior
Darian Caputo's two out single scored sophomore
Carolyn Alcantara, who opened the inning on second. The Knights had an answer, recording two runs on three hits, including a one out, walkoff infield single to end the game.
Seamen led the Blue and White in the loss, going 3-3 with two RBI and a run scored, while freshman
Allison Martin, sophomore
Olivia Young, and junior
Alexandra Schell had two base knocks each. Scheuren suffered the loss after allowing four earned runs over 7.2 innings with a pair of punch outs.
Keystone Last Time Out: Neumann 1, Keystone 0; Neumann 8, Keystone 0 (4/2/2019, Aston, PA)
The Giants fell on the sort end of a pitching duel in Tuesday's opener, as Neumann scored the game's lone run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Hughes was dominant in the loss, allowing just two singles, one in the first and the walk-off in the seventh. The offense never got on track, as freshman Lexy Johnson recorded Keystone's only two hits in the loss.
While the Knights found their offense in the nightcap, the Giants continued to struggle, posting just two base hits and a walk in the loss. Sophomore Lauren Smith suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle, allowing five runs on 11 hits and seven walks in 5.1 innings.
