RADNOR, PA - The Cavaliers closed their opening weekend with an impressive 3-0 win over the Washington & Lee Presidents today at Nerney Field House on the final day of the Cavalier Clash. The 25-20, 26-24, 25-21 win improved the Blue and White to 2-1 on the young season.
Junior
Steph Judkins etched her name in the program record book in the victory, as the junior became the sixth player in school history to record 1,000 career kills, a mark she reached in the third set.
With today's 19 kills, Judkins owns 1,000 kills, just 139 shy of
Danielle Carrozza's program mark of 1,143.

Katrina Shelly finished today's action their third double-doubles in as many matches. Judkins paired 17 digs with her 19 kills, while Shelly notched 11 kills and 17 digs.
Sophomore
Amelia Ballard directed the Blue and White attack with 27 assists, while freshman
Melanie Cotes-Rivera added 16 dimes. Sophomore
Gina Custer posted 29 digs, with Shelly, sophomore Hanna Dalton and freshman
Victoria Camacho adding two block assists each.
In this morning's opening match, Swarthmore cruised to a 25-12, 25-15, 25-20 win over the Mt. Aloysious. Senior Emma Morgan-Bennett led the Garnet with 10 kills, while freshman Chloe Mayhue paired nine kills and seven digs. Fellow rookie Sierra Tyson chipped in with 23 assists and nine digs.
Despite watching its 2-0 lead wither away, Swarthmore rallied in the fifth set to top W&J in the event's final match. Six Garnet players recorded at least seven kills in the 25-17, 25-13, 23-25, 23-25, 15-3 victory. Mayhue led way with 13 kills and 11 digs, while freshman Sierra Tyson fell just shy of a triple double, pairing 39 assists, 21 digs and nine kills.
