GRANTHAM, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team opened its weekend at the Messiah Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Christopher Newport University.
Junior
Steph Judkins led the Cavaliers with 16 kills, while senior
Katrina Shelly added eight kills and seven digs.
Sophomore
Gina Custer posted a team-high 10 digs, with classmate
Amelia Ballard adding 11 assists, four digs and two service aces.
Abby Oren led Christopher Newport (3-5) with 10 kills, as six Captains recorded at least six kills.
The Blue and White will look to return to the win column on Saturday, as it faces a pair of tough tasks. The Cavaliers will face the host Falcons (7-1) at 10am before meeting 2018 NCAA runner-up and No. 2 ranked Calvin (7-0) at 2pm.
