With the score tied at 2-2 heading into the seventh inning, the Cavaliers looked to put the game away.
Darien Caputo and junior

Amber Seamen doubled, driving in classmate
Jess Redding. Pitsikoulis scored on a wild pitch, followed by a two RBI single by sophomore

The Cavaliers headed into the bottom of the seventh with a seemingly comfortable 7-2 lead, but the home team had other ideas. The Pride posted five runs on five hits, including back to back home runs by sophomore Malia Calciano and Marissa Camac, to send the game to extra innings.
Cabrini struck first in the 10th, as Caputo's sacrifice fly plated Stairiker. Consecutive bunts evened the score for Widener, before senior Jamie Gosselin's two out single drove in the winning run.
Stairiker went 3-5 at the plate with two RBI's and suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle after tossing 9.2 innings and allowing six earned runs on 11 hits with five strikeouts. Pitsikoulis, Seamen and junior Alexandria Schell added two hits each, with Pitsikoulis driving in a pair of runs.
Calciano, Camac and Ariel Silva recorded two hits each for Widener, while sophomore Isabella Kostic held the Blue and White to just one earned run over 3.2 innings to earn the victory.
The Pride carried its 10th inning momentum into the nightcap, jumping ahead with three runs in the first and four in the fourth to build a 7-0 lead.
Cabrini began its comeback in the fifth, as a Seamen single scored Caputo. The Cavaliers added two more runs in the sixth. A Caputo infield single knocked in Schell before junior
Aysiah Cintron's double scored Caputo.
The Blue and White comeback attempt came to an end in the seventh, as sophomore
Allison Martin's run was the Cavaliers' lone run in the frame. Â
Schell accounted for two of Cabrini's six hits in the nightcap, including a triple. Junior
Casey Scheuren suffered the loss after allowing five earned runs on nine hits in six innings.
Sophomore Ally McDowell went 3-4 and joined Silva with two RBI in the nightcap.

After trailing 2-1 after two innings in the opener, the Cavaliers rallied to regain its lead after sophomore
Danielle Miller's RBI single in the fourth. The Blue and White added to its lead in the fifth, as Scheuren and sophomore
Kaitlyn Martin drove in runs, pushing Cabrini's lead to 5-3.
With just three outs left, Mitchell rallied. With the bases loaded and two outs, the Mariners came up with a big hit, a two-RBI, walkoff single to end the game.

Amber Seamen went 3-4 with two runs scored in the loss, while Scheuren suffered the loss despite recording 11 strikeouts.
Cabrini jumped ahead in the first inning of the nightcap, as five Cavaliers reached base, en route to three runs. The Cavaliers stayed hot in the second, sending eight batters to the play, as the club extended the lead to 5-0.
The Blue and White put the game away in the third inning, pairing four singles and three walks to score five runs.
While the offense was clicking, Stairiker kept NEC off balance, allowing just three hits and recording six strikeouts in the complete game win.
Seamen and sophomore
Emily Wargo collected two hits each, while Pitsikoulis joined Wargo with two RBI each. Stairiker recorded seven punch outs in the complete game three hitter.
Widener Last Time Out: Widener 3, Bluffton 1; Moravian 8, Widener 0 (3/5/2020, Clermont, FL)
Despite senior Carli Benozich's third inning solo home run, the Pride needed a pair of sixth inning runs to top Bluffton. The senior opened the sixth with a single before advancing to third after a sac bunt and a fly out. Freshman Becca Tiley's double plated the senior, before the rookie crossed the plate on a McDowell triple.
Junior hurler Kait Jaworski made Widener's five hits stand up, as the junior did not allow an earned run and recorded eight strikeouts in six innings of work. Freshman Mikayla Fedele took the circle for the seventh inning, closing the door on Blufftom.
The Pride could not carry its momentum into the nightcap, as It recorded six errors against just four hits in the loss to Moravian.
Fedele suffered the tough luck loss in the circle, as the rookie allowed just one earned run over three innings.
