EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - The Cabrini men's and women's cross country teams had their first action of the 2020-21 season as they took part in the East Stroudsburgh University All-American Meet this past Saturday.
The Blue and White competed in four different events across both teams, including the men's and women's 800 and 1,500 meter runs.
On the women's side, junior
Morgan Fazzini finished 28th out of 44 runners in the women's 800 meter to pace the Cavaliers with a time of 2:55.59. Freshman
Jessica Sobieski placed 38th with a time of 3:06.95, while senior
Shaiann Lyde rounded out the women's team with a time of 3:27.37, finishing 43rd.
Fazzini also led the Cavs in the 1,500 meter run thanks to a time of 6:08.17, good enough for 26th. Sobieski placed 29th with a time of 6:30.72, while Lyde capped the women's team with a time of 7:03.92.
Freshman
Bradley Beamer represented the men's team in both the 800 meter and 1,500 meter runs. He placed 33rd in the 800 meter with a time of 2:32.90 and 33rd in the 1,500 meter with a time of 5:16.44.
