GETTYSBURG, PA – After opening its season with three consecutive wins, the Cabrini field hockey team fell to 3-2 on the season after today's 3- 0 loss at Gettysburg.
The Cavaliers could not find their offense in the opening 15 minute period, as they were held without a shot. The Bullets took advantage, opening the scoring in the 10th minute on Lauren Beccaria's unassisted tally.
The home side added to their lead in the 24th minute, when Isabella Fragomeni etched her name in the scoring column.
Cabrini trailed 2-0 at the half, despite being outshot 12-3 and recording just one penalty corner to four for the Bullets.
The Blue and White finished the night with four shots, including two by senior
Allison Martin. Freshman goaltender
Courtney Keith recorded eight saves in the loss.
Emma Bartrando accounted for six of Gettysburg's (4-0) 17 shots, while goaltender Eilene Besselman was needed for just one save.
The road gets no easier for the Cavaliers, as their fifth consecutive game away from home will come on Tuesday, when they visit No. 6 TCNJ. The opening whistle is slated for 4pm in Ewing, NJ.
