RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini field hockey team looked to make a second half comeback today, but No. 10 Rowan proved to be too strong, as the Cavaliers suffered a 4-1 loss to the Profs at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

The loss dropped the Blue and White to 4-5 on the season, while the visitors improved to 4-2.

The Cavaliers struggled to find their offense in the first quarter, failing to record a shot attempt. Rowan took advantage, scoring game's first goal in the 10th minute and carrying its slim lead in the second period.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 21st minute and led 2-0 at the break, after outshooting Cabrini 7-1.

The Cavaliers broke through the Profs' defense in the first minute of the third quarter, as sophomore Caroline Gallagher netted her sixth marker of the season.

The Profs regained their two goal cushion just two minutes later. The Cavaliers could not cut into their deficit any further, as the team did not record another shot on the day.

Rowan outshot the Blue and White 27-2, with 20 of those shot attempts coming in the second half.

Freshman goaltender Courtney Keith tallied eight saves in the loss, while Gallagher accounted for both of Cabrini's shots.

The Cavaliers will look to return to the win column on Wednesday, when they welcome Stevens to Edith Robb Dixon field. The opening whistle is scheduled for 4pm.
