RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini field hockey team found itself on the short end of a double overtime thriller at Edith Robb Dixon Field this afternoon, as the Cavaliers fell to Stevens 3-2.
The loss marks the Blue and White's second extra time loss in its last three outings.

Less than two minutes later, sophomore
Caroline Gallagher doubled the lead with an unassisted marker, her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
The Cavaliers maintained their two goal cushion into the second quarter, when the Ducks finally got through the Blue and White defensive effort. Lynda Farinella's 27
th minute tally sent the teams into the halftime break with Cabrini leading 2-1.
Stevens evened the game in the 50
th minute, setting up a frantic final 10 minutes of action. Both sides created scoring chances, but nothing to truly test the other's defensive unit, sending the game to overtime tied at 2-2.
Ten extra minutes proved not to be enough, as the action moved into a second extra period.
The Cavaliers created several scoring chances in the second overtime, forcing four penalty corners and recording three shots on goal to no avail.
The Ducks made the most of their third shot on target in the period, as Kila Eadie's unassisted marker closed the book on the day's action in the 78
th minute.
While the Cavaliers were outshot 14-13 in the loss, the Blue and White could not take advantage of a 15-4 advantage in penalty corners.

The Cavaliers have a few days to recover from today's action before opening Atlantic East Conference play next Wednesday. Cabrini will host reigning conference champs Marywood at 4pm.
