RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini volleyball team rebounded from a disappointing opening weekend in Newport News, VA to score a tough 3-0 victory over Muhlenberg College tonight inside Nerney Field House. The Cavaliers improved to 1-3 on the season with the 25-22, 25-20, 25-23 win in their home debut.

Hannah Dalton led the Blue and White attack with 18 kills, while junior

Both teams exchanged the lead early in the opening set, but trailing 10-8, the Mules seized the momentum. The visitors reeled off seven consecutive points to build a 15-10 advantage. Cabrini continued to battle to regain the lead at 20-19 after a Muhlenberg attack error.Â
Muhlenberg answered with back to back points of its own, before a 3-0 Cabrini spurt put the home squad ahead for good.
The Cavaliers used an early 5-0 run to build a cushion in the second set, but the Mules responded with five consecutive points to take a 10-7 advantage. Cabrini had an answer of its own, as the Blue and White scored 11 of the next 13 points to grab a commanding 20-14 lead after a Cotes-Rivera service ace.
The visitors pulled to within four points, but a Camacho kill put an end Cabrini ahead two sets to none.
The third frame played out much like the first two. Neither team led buy more than three points in a set that featured eight ties. The final deadlock came at 23-23 after a Dalton kill, before Cotes-Rivera served the Cavaliers to the final two points of the night.Â
The road gets no easier for the Blue and White, who will compete in the Ford Invitational at Haverford this weekend. The Cavaliers will face Elizabethtown on Friday before facing Eastern adn Haverford on Saturday.
