READING, Pa. – The Cabrini University field hockey team saw a 4-2 lead at halftime evaporate as the Golden Wolves (7-3) scored three goals in the second half, including the winner just 1:29 into overtime in a 6-5 win over the Cavaliers (7-3) Saturday morning.
Junior midfielder Caroline Gallagher had two goals in the game, with Olivia Sims, sophomore midfielder Adrianna Jones and freshman forward Krista Geibler scoring as well. Jones and freshman midfielder Grace Caspar also added in assists.
Gallagher scored her goals in the 18th and 29th minutes, with her second goal giving the Cavaliers a 4-2 lead.
In goal, sophomore Courtney Keith made 12 saves.
Cabrini begins Atlantic East play on Wednesday by traveling to Manhattanville.
