RADNOR, Pa. – Cabrini University graduate libero Gina Custer set the school record for digs on Wednesday night, as the Cavs (16-9, 4-0 AEC) defeated Gwynedd Mercy (7-14, 2-3 AEC) 3-0 in women's volleyball action.

Set scores were 25-21, 25-8, 25-12.

Custer now has 1,986 digs in her career, breaking the old mark 1,983 previously held by current assistant coach Sophia Sokolovich from 2010-13. She got 12 digs in Wednesday's night match, which was a match-high.

Graduate outside hitter Hannah Dalton led the way with 16 kills for the Cavaliers, while sophomore outside hitter Sam Heenan getting seven and sophomore middle blocker Amanda Purdy netting four.

Senior setter Melanie Cotes-Rivera had 13 assists, with graduate setter Lexi Conte adding in nine.

The Cavs had nine total blocks in the match, paced by three from senior middle blocker Victoria Camacho.

Before the match, Cabrini honored its three seniors – Cotes-Rivera, Camacho and Rachael Boyle.

Cabrini will host Marymount on Saturday as part of a tri-match with Alvernia.
