RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's soccer team begins its title defense on Saturday evening as the third-seeded Cavaliers take on sixth-seeded Marywood University at 6 p.m.
The winner will advance to play either top-seeded Marymount or second-seeded Neumann on Tuesday. The other quarterfinal matchup pits fifth-seeded Centenary at fourth-seeded Immaculata.
The Cavs (7-7-3, 4-2 Atlantic East) defeated the Pacers (7-10, 2-4 Atlantic East) 7-1 in their lone matchup back on October 8 in Radnor. Nick LoBiando and Brian Sharkey had two goals each for Cabrini, while Marywood got its lone goal from Mason Guelho.
Cabrini is led by LoBiondo who has team-highs in goals (9), assists (6) and points (24). Tyler Tomlin is second on the team in goals with six and points with 13.
In goal, MJ Graham has a 1.77 GAA average with 48 saves. He made two saves in the win over Marywood last time out.
Marywood is led by Richard Fuchs who has a team-high seven goals and 17 points. Kiernan Wilder has six goals and 12 points, which is both second-best on the squad. Nick Russo faced the Cavs in goal last time, making ten saves in the loss.
