Cavaliers poised for AEC Championship semifinals against Neumann

ASTON, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's soccer team moved one step closer to defending its AEC championship crown Saturday night as the Cavaliers got the best of sixth-seeded Marywood University, defeating the Pacers 4-2 in front of a home crowd at Edith Robb Dixon Field. 
 
With the win, the Cavaliers advanced to the AEC Championship semifinals and will take on second-seeded Neumann University on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. 
 
The Cavs enter play on Tuesday night with an 8-7-3 record while the Knights come into play at 7-7-1 but finished with a 5-1 record in Atlantic East Conference play in 2022. The Cavaliers dropped their first meeting with the Knights 1-0 on the road back on October 5. 
 
Junior Nick LoBiando leads the Cavs offense in both goals (9) and assists (7) with Tyler Tomlin second on the team in goals (7) and Nick Booth second in assists (4). 
 
In goal for the Cavs, MJ Graham has a .633 save percentage, making 50 saves on the year and sporting a 1.78 goal against average. 
 
The Knights offense is led by Jake Kuzmick's seven goals and four assists while the defense is led by keeper Seth Walker. In goal, Walker has a .741 save percentage with 43 saves and only 15 goals against in 2022. 
 
The winner of Tuesday night's match heads to the Atlantic East Conference tournament championship on Saturday at a time and place to be determined.
