RADNOR, PA – The Cavalier scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter to break a 9-9 deadlock, before fighting off a hungry Colorado College squad, as the Cabrini men's lacrosse team extended its win streak to three games with today's 12-11 win over the Tigers at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

The visitors opened the scoring just over 60 seconds after the opening whistle, but the Cavaliers responded, as Rafferty and Vaughan marked the scoring column for the first of the game's five lead changes. The seconds came in the late minutes of the first quarter, as Colorado netted back to back goals to carry a 3-2 advantage into the second quarter.
Cabrini regained the lead early in the second, as Vaughan and McManus found the back of the net in a span of 10 seconds. The lead was short lived, as the Tigers evened the score with just under 10 minutes to play in the period.
Both teams exchanged goals over the next 10 minutes, as the score remained tied at 6-6 after 30 minutes of back and forth action.
The Tigers struck first in the third quarter, climbing ahead 7-6 at the 10:16 mark. The Cavaliers responded with three unanswered markers over the next 1:50, as Wyatt's goal and a pair by Bolton put the Blue and White ahead with 8:25 left in the quarter.
Whatever momentum Cabrini gained with its scoring run dissipated quickly, as Colorado scored 10 seconds later then tied the game at 9-9 with just five seconds left in the period.
The Cavaliers regrouped before the fourth quarter and it showed early, as McManus found Vanaman at the 13:38 mark to give home team a lead it would not relinquish. Rafferty added an unassisted tally with 6:25 to play before converting a Vanaman pass for the eventual game-winning goal with just over five minutes to play.
Despite trailing by three goals with five minutes to go, the Tigers would not go away, pulling within a single goal after scoring at the 2:09 and 0:55 marks.
Huey won the ensuing faceoff, with junior
Peter Hewitt securing the ground ball that allowed Cabrini to drain the game's final seconds.
Colorado sophomore Dylan Brown led the Tigers with four goals, six ground balls and three caused turnovers, while classmate Ben Anastos tallied 18 saves in the Colorado cage.
The Cavaliers will look to extend their win streak on Saturday, when they host Eastern in the teams' first regular season match-up since 2008. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 1pm at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
