RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University women's volleyball team took a pair of 3-0 decisions on Saturday in a home tri-match with PSU-Berks and Hood. With the two wins, Cabrini evened its record to 7-7.
Cabrini 3, PSU-Berks 0
Cabrini won the opener by set scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-17. As a team, Cabrini had a .295 attack percentage, committing just eight errors on 88 attempts.
Graduate outside hitter Hannah Dalton went for 12 kills and made just one error on 23 attack attempts, while senior middle blocker Victoria Camacho pitched in with six kills. Graduate setter Gina Custer had 12 assists with senior setter Melanie Cotes-Rivera adding in ten. Cotes-Rivera was honored before the match as she crossed the 1,000 career mark in assists in last week's match against Catholic.
Defensively, Custer had 16 digs with junior middle blocker Lily Baynum getting one solo block and assisting on four others.
Cabrini 3, Hood 0
Cabrini won the last match of the day with set scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-15. In the nightcap, Cabrini had a .312 attack percentage (36-11-80).
Dalton finished with a team-high 17 kills on 30 attempts (.500 attack percentage), with sophomore outside hitter Sam Heenan getting seven.
Cotes-Rivera had 13 assists and five service aces, with Custer getting 21 digs. Baynum had three solo blocks.
Cabrini hosts Rutgers-Camden on Thursday night.
