Softball sets 2023 slate

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University softball team will begin their Atlantic East Conference title defense on Sunday, February 26 in Florida, as the 2023 schedule has been unveiled.

The Cavs – who went 23-12 last season and 8-4 in the AEC – will start their season in sunny Florida with games against Alma, Messiah, Houghton, Adrian, Bridgewater (Va.), Chatham, Calvin, The University of Dubuque, Saint Mary's of Minnesota and Wartburg.

When returning home, Cabrini will head across the street to take on Eastern in the Battle of Eagle Road on Saturday, March 11, at noon. The home opener is slated for Tuesday, March 14, at 3 p.m. with a doubleheader against Widener. The homestand continues with doubleheaders against Haverford (Thursday, March 16 – 3 p.m.), with AEC play opening up on Saturday, March 18 against Marymount University at noon.

Franklin & Marshall College comes to town on Thursday, March 23 at 3 p.m., followed by a trip to Immaculata University on Saturday, March 25 at noon.

Another homestand kicks off on Thursday, March 30 as Keystone College comes to town, followed by AEC foe Marywood on Saturday, April 1, and then Cedar Crest College on Monday, April 3. Thursday, April 6, sees the Cavs go to Neumann University.

After the Easter Break, Cabrini goes to Salisbury University on Friday, April 14. The Cavs then return home on Tuesday, April 18, against PSU-Brandywine and then hosts Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday, April 22 at noon.

The last week of the regular season sees Cabrini travel down the road to take on Tuesday, April 25 followed by the regular season finale on Saturday, April 29, at Centenary University.

The Atlantic East Conference playoffs start with Pod play on Friday, May 5-Saturday, May 6, followed by the Championship Series on Friday, May 12-Saturday, May 13.
