Immaculata, PA - On Saturday morning, Cabrini Field Hockey battled the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University.
Cabrini was in the driver's seat for much of the game, maintaining possession and outshooting the Macs 18-5.
With just 15 seconds left in regulation, Immaculata earned a penalty corner. The Mighty Macs played in, made a pass to the left side, put a shot toward goal, and deflected the ball into the left side of the cage.
Immaculata's closing-second heroics awarded them the match's lone goal and the 1-0 victory over Cabrini.
Caroline Gallagher led the Cavaliers' attack, taking 7 shots on goal.
Shea Neary, in her second appearance of the season, placed 2 shots on goal.
With the loss, Cabrini's Atlantic East Conference record drops to 1-1.
Field Hockey has a two game home slate next week. They welcome Marywood on Tuesday 10/10 and Stockton on Thursday 10/12.
