RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's lacrosse extended its win streak against Marywood to 22 straight as the Cavaliers dominated the Pacers Saturday afternoon in a 21-3 routing in just under two hours at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavaliers (7-3) opened Saturday's contest with 14 straight goals against the Pacers as Cabrini scored six times in the first quarter, seven times in the second, and once in the third before Marywood found the back of the net at the 10:48 mark in the third.
Jake Goss and
Bryan Rafferty answered with back-to-back goals, but the Pacers netted two straight within 40 seconds of one another to make it a 16-3 contest with 2:29 left in the quarter.
Dillon McManus ended the third with his fifth goal of the game to put Cabrini ahead 17-3 with one period remaining.
In the fourth, the Cavs tacked on four more as the Cabrini reserves made their way to the field. Sophomore
Jason Fridge scored twice in the quarter while
Nate Mazurek added a goal and an assist before
Ewan McAloon found the back of the net at the 4:20 mark for his first career goal.
Thirteen Cavaliers players scored on the afternoon while 10 added an assist and eight found the back of the net and had an assist.
McManus led the way with five goals, his third such game this season, and second in as many games.
Connor Herraiz continued to be a play maker as the freshman had three assists in the win.
The Cavaliers return to action on Wednesday, April 4 as Cabrini heads to Aston to take on the Neumann Knights in another Atlantic East matchup. First face off is set for 4 p.m.
