Cavaliers rout Cyclones on the road

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Nineteen different Cavaliers players scored Saturday afternoon as the Cabrini University men's lacrosse team routed Centenary University 29-1 on the road. 
 
The Cavaliers jumped out to a 5-0 lead within the first 4:30 of the first period and did not let up as the Blue and White extended its lead to 12-0 through the first 15:00 as Connor Herraiz connected with Dillon McManus who found the back of the Cyclones net to end the first period. Cabrini's offense remained hot in the second period as the Cavs netted four more goals before Centenary's Ronan Bova scored the Cyclones lone goal of the contest cutting it to 16-1. Cabrini scored eight in the quarter and took a 20-1 Cabrini lead into the break. 
 
In the third, the Cavs managed four goals on seven shots followed by five goals on 10 shots in the final period of action to cement the 29-1 win over the Cyclones. 
 
In the win, the Cavs tallied nine times as many total shots as the Cyclones. At the X, Cabrini won 29 of the 34 faceoffs on the day as Sam Dritrolio went 10-for-11 and Damian Swech went a perfect 6-for-6. 
 
Eight Cavaliers players recorded multiple goals in the win as both Herraiz and Austin Bolton each finished with a hat trick while Jason Fridge tallied two goals and four assists for a team-high six points on the afternoon.  
 
The Cavaliers return to action on Saturday, April 15 for Senior Day against Immaculata University. First faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
