RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's lacrosse team completed its regular season with a 27-9 routing of Gwynedd Mercy University Wednesday afternoon at home.

The Cavaliers opened the contest with four straight goals and by the 8:28 mark Cabrini held a 4-0 lead. The Griffins found the back of the net at the 6:25 mark, but Cabrini's Griffin Ganster netted his first goal of the game sparking six straight goals from the Cavs to end the first period. In the second, the Cavs and Griffins traded goals to start the quarter, but Cabrini went on a 9-1 run highlighted by three goals from Dillon McManus to take a 20-3 lead into the break.

Out of the break, Gwynedd led off the third period with its fourth goal as Justin Carney found the back of the Cabrini net on a man-up opportunity. Cabrini's Bryan Rafferty and Nick Mormando each responded with a goal to give the Cavs a 22-4 lead with 11:09 left in the third. Cabrini's 20-goal first half gave the Cavs a hefty lead and despite six second half goals from the Griffins, Cabrini locked down its 12th win of the year and the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic East Conference Championship tournament.
