Cabrini battled against the No. 13 TCNJ Lions before falling in overtime by a final score of 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cavaliers struck first on the first goal of the season by
Adrianna Jones late in the first quarter on a pass from
Morgan McClintock.
TCNJ would score with just 2:59 left in the second quarter on a penalty corner from Rayhanah Ahmed and the game would go into halftime with the score of 1-1.
After a scoreless third period, Cabrini struck first in the fourth on a goal from
Morgan McClintock off an assist from
Daly Ewing. It was McClintock's second goal of the season and provided the Cavaliers a 2-1 lead.
TCNJ tied the game with just under 3 minutes remaining in the game as Isabel Maher scored and propelled the game into overtime.
Just halfway through the overtime period, the Lions Carly Cole found the back of the cage giving the Lions the 3-2 victory.
Cabrini will have one week off until they travel to Swarthmore on Wednesday, September 20
th at 5 p.m. to play the Garnet.
