Cabrini Pounces on Wooster, Claim 15-7 home decision

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's lacrosse team picked up another non-conference win to The College of Wooster on Saturday. The Cavaliers remain undefeated at Edith Robb Dixon Field and improve to 5-2 overall on the season.
 
Scoring
-Tommy Vaughan, Dillon McManus, and Connor Herraiz all had 3 goals for the Cavaliers. Griffin Ganster and Jason Fridge each had a pair, while Peter Hewitt and Mason Lenart added one apiece.
-Dillon McManus recorded 3 assists, followed by Griffin Ganster and Mason Lenart each with two, while Tommy Vaughan, Peter Hewitt, John McCormick, Austin Bolton, and Nate Mazurek each had a helper.

Defensive
-Matt Williams led Cabrini with 3 caused turnovers, as Bear Evans had 2 and eight Cavaliers caused 1.
-John McCormick went 19-26 on faceoffs, corralling 9 ground balls.
-Brayden Skipper had 9 saves and 7 ground balls, allowing just 4 goals in the winning decision.
-Zack Riegler and Brett Gougler corralled 5 ground balls apiece, followed by Jason Fridge, Matt Williams, and Bear Evans, each with 4. Connor Herraiz scooped 3 as Peter Hewitt and Sebastian Tobias added a pair.

How it Happened

-Cabrini jumped out in front, netting six goals in the first 10 minutes of play. They'd lead 7-0 early in the second quarter.
-The Cavaliers held the Fighting Scots scoreless until the 11:16 mark in the second period. Wooster would score twice in a two minute window to get on the board.
-Cabrini took an 8-3 lead into halftime, and came out with the first two scores after the break.
-The Cavalier lead reached as much as 9, when the Cavs netted their 13th goal on the day in the fourth quarter.
-Wooster would answer with a run of 3 goals, scoring with 7:38, 6:49, and 5:28 remaining.
-Cabrini converted on man-up opportunities to added the final 2 scores of the contest.
