Hall of Fame
Carolyn Wilson Geonnotti’s place atop the list of Cabrini tennis players, male or female, is unquestioned.
Geonotti dominated the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) from 2005-08, amassing an astounding 81-1 record in conference singles and doubles matches while leading the Cavaliers to four straight conference titles.
After graduating from Nazareth Academy, Geonnotti came to Cabrini looking for a familiar setting. She was looking for a close-knit, religious community where she could develop her plans to become a teacher.
Geonnotti wasted little time making her mark in the PAC, as she was named PAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-PAC First Team accolades for both singles and doubles as a freshman.
She capped her rookie season with a straight set victory in the PAC No. 5 singles championship and joined partner Jennifer Keller for a No. 1 doubles title.
In 2005, Geonnotti showed that her rookie season was no fluke, as she claimed a second singles title and advanced to the doubles championship. Her championship prowess would continue through her career, as she collected four singles and three doubles championships.
While the championship memories will always remain, so too do the memories of Geonnotti’s lighter moments. Things as simples as laughs on the bus or at team meals and the bonds with other student-athletes offer additional highlights to Geonnotti’s career.
Like on the tennis court, Geonnotti put 100% into her academic success as well. A natural multi-tasker, she was able to balance academics and sports to the tune of earning Dean’s List honors all four years and a spot on the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team in 2005 and 2007.
Geonnotti was named 2008 Student-Teacher of the Year and won the Hannah Amgott Memorial Scholarship Award before graduating from Cabrini Magna Cum Laude.
