CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team collected its fourth consecutive victory Friday night, besting DeSales University in a five-game thriller, 3-2, in the opening night of the Pita Pit Classic. Junior setter Lizzie Williams posted a triple-double with a team-high 37 assists, 22 digs and 10 kills.

The loss snapped a 16-match home win streak for the Bulldogs. Fittingly, the last squad to defeat DeSales on its home floor was Cabrini, topping the Bulldogs 3-2 on October 21, 2006.

Senior Lindsay Martin powered the Cavaliers' offense, recording a team-high12 kills and adding nine digs. Freshman Alexis Doss totaled 14 kills and five digs.

Sophomore Stephanie Recklau tallied nine kills and freshman Beth Gillespie buried eight.

Defensively, senior Danielle Finnegan registered a team-best 15 digs. Senior Michelle Mola tallied 12.

The Cavaliers rebounded from a 25-14 loss in the first stanza to grabbed a one-set lead after a 25-23 victory in frame two and a 25-15 triumph in game three.

Cabrini (10-8, 3-0) returns to action Saturday for day two of the Pita Pit Classic. The Cavaliers meet Kean University at 10 a.m.
