PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Two members of the Cabrini University women's volleyball team were named to the 2022 Philadelphia Inquirer/PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team on Wednesday. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and two are part of eight players selected to the team.
Graduate outside hitter Hannah Dalton and graduate libero Gina Custer were named to the team.
Dalton and Custer were both first-team All-Atlantic East. Dalton was named the Player of the Year, while Guster was named as the Specialty Player of the Year. Dalton was also named to the AVCA Region V Team.
Dalton finished up her career with 1,414 kills, which set a new all-time career mark for the Blue and White. Custer finished her career with a new Cabrini record of 2,191 digs. Both helped Cabrini advance to the ECAC title match where the Cavs finished as runner-up. Cabrini was 22-13 this season, with a mark of 6-0 in the Atlantic East.
In addition to being named to the Philly-SIDA team, the pair were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-Academic All-District team recently.
