ALLENTOWN, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's soccer team utilized a blistering offensive attack in an emphatic 7-0 win at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Cedar Crest College Thursday. The Cavaliers reached the 30-shot plateau for the third consecutive match and the fifth time this season against the Falcons.

Seven different Cabrini student-athletes found the back of the net and 10 registered at least one point. The Cavaliers recorded 32 total shots, including 17 on Cedar Crest netminders April Johnson and C.J. Krise.

Cabrini raced to a 5-0 cushion before the intermission. Sophomore Dana Nardello scored an unassisted goal, her fourth of the season, at the 13:50 mark. Freshman Sammy Thompson deposited her third marker of the year, from junior Jenna Laufenberg, less than two minutes following at the 15:47 mark.

Junior Sabina DeGisi's unassisted score, her team-leading ninth in 2008, in the 21st minute handed the Cavaliers a three-goal advantage, 3-0. Rookie Kara Hinkelmon pushed the lead to 4-0 with her seventh goal of the season at the 26:14 mark.

Junior Heather Thompson provided Cabrini with more than enough breathing room before the break with her fourth goal of the year, off a pass from junior Amanda Ribakusky, at the 29:20 mark.

The Cavaliers totaled two goals in the second half. The rookie tandem of Michelle Kane and Amanda Robotti scored their first career goals at the 62:24 and 71:14 mark, respectively. Junior Kristin Comly was credited an assist on the Kane score.

Sophomore Gianna Porretta tallied two saves for her third straight shut. Porretta has run her scoreless minutes streak to 275 dating back to October 18 against Marywood University.

The Cavaliers owned a commanding 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Cabrini (9-8, 6-3) concludes its CSAC schedule Saturday against Neumann College at 3 p.m. The match will be played at Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, Pa.
