LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team suffered a narrow 3-2 loss Wednesday at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Philadelphia Biblical University. Junior Lizzie Williams guided the Cabrini offense with a season-high 42 assists.
Senior Michelle Mola led four Cavaliers with 10-or-more digs, recording a club-best 26. Senior Daniellie Finnegan tallied 18 digs and freshman Courtney Abel recorded 17.
Junior Traci Beltz and freshman Alexis Doss each posted a team-best 10 kills. Senior Lindsay Martin paired nine kills with 14 digs. Sophomore Stephanie Recklau buried eight kills and put away a squad-best four total blocks.
Williams also added nine digs.
The Cavaliers grabbed a one-set advantage following a 26-24 triumph in the opening game. The Crimson Eagles responded, winning the next two by counts of 25-21 and 25-23.
Cabrini answered and forced a decisive fifth set with a 25-23 win in the fourth game. Philadelphia Biblical clinched the match with a 15-10 victory in game five.
The Cavaliers' 94 digs against the Crimson Eagles is a season-best.
Cabrini (16-11, 7-2) resumes its CSAC schedule Thursday at Immaculata University. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
